Deleting Technicians

Can you delete technicians from "Technicians Setup" after they are gone and no longer on an open invoice? If yes, will they still show up in an invoice in history as the technician that did the work? Any drawbacks if you delete past technicians or service writers?

Yes, you can delete them. They will show in history and over a decade I have seen no ill-effects from doing so.
