Recommendations Marked As Printed Beyond Date Range?

Post by ARS »

Problem: If there are reccomends for a vehicle= front brakes, oil change & inspection date are listed for different months & you print the report & then you mark as printed when it not only cancels out the front brakes (which you wanted it to do) but the oil change & inspection, other future reccomends too. This is not a good situation because we do not want to cancel out the date for the future recommends.

We have most of the Recs labeled in the Category as Recommendations & the oil changes are under the category of LOF & the inspections are listed under 35 pt inspection.

It should only mark the rec. listed for the month you printed as printed... not the future Recs....

Is this a glitch??? we are losing valuable information!

Thanks, ARS

So if I understand correctly, the dates of the other recommendations do not fall within your search criteria, do not appear in the search list, but are getting marked as printed along with those that do? I have not seen evidence of this and I use recommendations weekly. Can you provide specific examples?

Yes, the end dates are not in parameters for the Recommends not being printed...
I do not have a snipping tool that I am allowed to download to show you a picture... & the Recommend list does not copy & paste...

One Example
9/4/13 -7/2/15 ROTATE & BALANCE TIRES (EVERY 6 MONTHS OR 6000 MILES) RECHECK NEXT OIL CHANGE
6/1/15- 9/1/15 Perform Lube, Oil & Filter Exchange on 9/1/2015 or 103543 Miles.
6/1/15- 7/2/15 TRANSMISSION FLUSH/FILTER, COOLANT FLUSH & TUNE-UP
4/24/15 -4/24/16 YEARLY MAINTENANCE CHECK OVER -APRIL 2016

I had 46 vehicles in the report I printed... The report was for July. So the only the july dates should have cleared or been marked as printed. Not the Sept. oil change date or the April 2016 inspection date.

I have fixed all of the vehicle recs for the report i ran but i am sure i can duplicate it if needed.

I have just confirmed this and for those of us using recommendations heavily, it's a serious problem.

In the meantime, I'd advise not marking any recommendations as printed until this is resolved.

Yes, I've just been told: "It’s in this sprint, and should be part of the 7.0 update."
