Maintenance Schedules

Ever since the change in the systems, the previous maintenance schedules which were easy to find and awesome to use disappeared.

These new ones were never good, but after numerous contacts, I was told that they were in development and would get better. It's been a couple of years now and they are still miserably bad. Why is this so? Why does identifix have this info but not Mitchell? Why would you get rid of a good system and for example the 2006 murano that used to have a complete schedule, now has nothing but a labor time. for what? Theres no usable information there for me.

I am completely befuddled how this made it through quality control process and how any one thought that this lack of information was a good thing.

Prodemand soon followed this path.....

This is the single biggest reason that I won't change my CRM from E auto to Mitchell. How can I trust them when it's never fixed and I can never get an answer?

Are the maintenance schedules ever going to be fixed and returned to an accurate and detailed format like they were before the change over? or should I just give up hope and move on to something else?

Could you be more specific in your example? I used a 2006 Nissan Murano S and compared several maintenance intervals between 5.9 and 6.6, and they are identical. Which interval were you looking at?

of course. I spend all the time cutting and pasting what info I get from the system and it won't submit because of a sql error.

Short version is that it will show me a labor time of 4.8 to 4.9 hours depending on fwd or awd but it doesn't list any details on what is being done for those hours.

No word of trans fluid, coolant, ps fluid, tire rotation....etc. you get the idea.

Just hours. If I go ahead and transfer it to the ro and open the detail line this is what I see.

Ok,

I think I'm getting a cleared picture of what might be going wrong for you. You simply need to make certain you're adding the detail notes. Staying with the Murano S, assuming FWD, Severe Mileage interval. The time is 2.1 hours. On the Details section, click on the +Add next to All Applicable models. Then you Add the FWD's individual notes. The end result will look like this:

ok, so what am I doing wrong on a 2010 acura tsx? Can't get all the details to show up again.

Are you clicking an application ADD button *and* the Details ADD button too? If no on the latter, then the detail lines are not transferred back to SE Order screen labor item.

I went in through the extreme mileage option under the maintenance tab on the left hand side of the screen. Not through the Indicator, Service A, etc

It starts to show more information but it doesn't continue to display it....

Just took a look at this. Transferred the three items on Extreme mileage based work. Got the following.....

Honda's and Acura's don't have much in mileage based maintenance any more. Everything is condition based now. Is there still something missing?

I don't know how to do a print screen so that it shows up here. But what I see, is most of the time not what you are displaying on your answers.

Case in point again. 2006 toyota highlander.

I just did a select all and copied the entire screen.

What I see is not consistent unless I look over and over.

My first time only showed

Replace timing belt.

After I went back and forth multiple times it now displays all of the info. Same thing happened on the TSX.

Now that I have done it about 6 times as I try and figure out what's going on, I get the list below. Which I still Only see when I transfer it to a revision or an RO. I never see it on the maintenance screen.

Perform this service only if you drive primarily on desert or on dirt roads or while towing. Re-tighten the seat-mounting bolts and front/rear suspension member retaining bolts to specified torque.


RESET: ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT REMINDER LIGHT

Reset the oil replacement reminder ("MAINT REQD") light after replacing engine oil, if vehicle is equipped with this light.


ROTATE: TIRES

Check tire tread depth and for uneven or excessive wear.

Rear

On vehicles used for towing. Including Limited-Slip.


REPLACE: TRANSFER CASE FLUID

I called software support and showed them what's going on.

My system is not displaying the info on either computer is the problem.

They are troubleshooting it to figure out why. I'll let you know what they find/do when they are done.

Since you can read the Maintenance details once transferred to Manager, you are clicking the second Add button to bring those details over.

If the complaint is that you can't read the Extreme details while still in Maintenance, that may be because you're not clicking on a heading to reveal them? Take a look at this:

When you first open the Maintenance interval - no itemized list:

Then when you click on a heading (All Applicable Models), then you can see the itemized list. Is that not what you are asking about?

Works that way for me.

my problem is that they show inconsistent results for the same car when looked at.

The first viewing will show very little info regardless of what I do.

The second time doing the exact same steps will typically show more.

Somewhere between the fourth and sixth time doing the entry, I will get all the info. Had tech support watch and record what was going on. They have no idea why it's doing that. Been escalated up to a Tier 2 tech after being on the phone with them for 1hr 50min and no resolution.
