Hours by Pay Date Report

Post by dwostarek »

How do I print a report showing how many hours my techs have completed each week? My old shop system allowed me to print a report for Labor Hours by pay date so I could pay the guys for work they completed with out having to close the repair order.

Welcome to the Forum.

In Manager, you use the Tech hours report, however, Invoices must be posted to show there. There are several threads on this subject and users may chime in on how they handle open orders. For me, I carry the hours over to the next pay week when the order is posted.

so you are saying your tech doesn't get paid until job is finished because it wont even show ar time until paid this is a down fall to system if you ask me for money that it cost each month is should be able to do daily time post and to be able to flag a tech some of his time on big engine jobs or jobs still waiting on parts and be able to track it I am very disappointed in this system

That's exactly what I'm saying. We don't have many hours carry-over. We have a highly efficient front end that keeps things very smooth.

As I posted previously, there are many other posts on this subject and the search function will bring you to many work-arounds. For us, since it's so rare, if we don't hold the hours we simply pay the tech the hours due and make an internal note on the RO to deduct those hours when invoicing. Very simple. We are not flat rate here, so billed hours is only a portion of the tech's pay. Most of the time they have no problem with a small carry-over.

Officially tracking these hours is on the enhancement request list.
