Tech Worksheet
We have labor markup 10%, just wondering when I print a Tech Worksheet is there a way to get actual labor times on there and not what's being billed. Our Techs are paid by the job and not hourly, so if they see a job that shows 1.1 but is actually 1 hour they think they should be given 1.1.

Re: Tech Worksheet
Consider using one of the worksheets that show pay hours instead of billed hours.

Re: Tech Worksheet
I tried that with both pay hours and charged hours and both still show the same labor timericmorin wrote:Consider using one of the worksheets that show pay hours instead of billed hours.

Re: Tech Worksheet
Is it possible your Markup - Labor setting is to provide the same?

Re: Tech Worksheet
Yeah, we have it as Sales only. Thing is if you do Sales and Tech Pay, then that would go towards the Tech as well?timbre4 wrote:Is it possible your Markup - Labor setting is to provide the same?
Our Mitchell1 Sales Rep came in and told us to put the labor % in at 10 instead of changing the labor rate and instead of paying to the tech for the difference.
If you have Mark up at 10% for Tech and Sales, but then when you go to Tech Worksheet wouldn't it show the same as before with Pay and Charged?

Re: Tech Worksheet
I share that advice with reps and shops that it is possible to discretely get some more for the work over time and not touch that visible shop rate that people get emotional about.
My remark was based on your saying that it was the same results with either style tech worksheet, which is apparently not the case.
I go to the Estimator and transfer a Brake operation @ 1.0 Hrs. With my 10% Markup setting (Shop Only) it appears as 1.1 hours on the Order screen.
When I use the Expanded Tech Worksheet w/Charged Hours it displays as 1.1 hours
When I use the Expanded Tech Worksheet w/Pay Hours it displays as 1.0 hours

Re: Tech Worksheet
For whatever reason it wasn't doing it with estimates/jobs that had already been created. I put the labor mark up to what I want and on sale, then have tech worksheet printed based on pay hours and it worked when I created a new invoice.timbre4 wrote:I share that advice with reps and shops that it is possible to discretely get some more for the work over time and not touch that visible shop rate that people get emotional about.

Not sure why it wasn't working with estimates/invoices that had already been created.
When i started the thread I had tried doing the tech worksheet print pay hours and it wasn't working on the ones that had already been created which seemed odd to me.

Re: Tech Worksheet
Correct. It cannot change that which had already been transferred with the existing settings. it would be in effect for all future labor transfers from Estimator.
