Inventory Detail Report?

We are looking at the Inventory detail report... We really like all of the details of the report. But the report is sorted by the on hand field. This causes all of the information to be jumbled. We were wondering if you can have the same information but sorted by the Description field or the Parts number field. I know that you can export it into Excel but I do not know how to do the exporting at all - barely know how to work excel. Is there any way to change this report-- we are trying to review our costs & pricing right now.
Also, is there a way to sort by Vendor? Thanks, ARS

Not 100% sure which report you are looking at, the sort is likely fixed.

Try this - Go to Inventory - Inventory List screen. click the Search flashlight to build a master list. If you have Manager Plus SE you can sort on *any* column to get what you want.

Use the Print button provided there once you have it sorted.

Yes, that is true, but this does not have cost on the report. We love the sort factor in the Inventory List Screen. That is what we want the Inventory Details Report in Pro-pack to do. We want both of these reports in put together. Thanks, ARS

Post the exact fields you are looking for and I will have my team put it together for you in Report Pro. It may actually be better to just add these tables and fields to the query builder, what that work?

I saw improvements made to the Report Pro's Inventory Detail Report.- Thank you
This will help when we are doing inventory pricing.
We like to know the cost, sell price & list price of each item- so we do not have to hand write all of that info.

I would like to request that 2 more search fields be added to the bottom where you have Sort by On-hand, Sort By Part number & Sort by Part description- Keep those.

The 2 new requested areas are Search by Vendor - i.e. Only show those Vendors parts- only Print NAPA parts.
& Search By Category- i.e. Only show & print Batteries.

Also- this report does not show zero or negative on hand quantities- we need this info. because even if we are out & need to reorder, it is still on our list that if we are working on pricing we still need to get the price fixed.

I forgot to add that you can submit a report request through Report Pro. In case it's easier to do that just go to the help section and select report request. Emails are then sent to our support team through a semi-automated system.

So I exported this inventory detail report- so i could sort it & use it now-

Another feature I would like have you add to the report is Vendor- I am handwriting this in now..

Also- I talked about the the report needs to have the zeros & negative on hand items in there- well not only that but it needs to have the current inventory items in there. I have had to cross out about a items that are on the report pro list but are not on the MItchell list or even on our shelves. I think these items are ones that we deleted from the system throughout the year or something.. not sure.. But it is confusing when we are try to check on price for a part that we do not carry. I wish it would be closer to the Mitchell list.

I do love a lot of the features & the changes... just see more things we would like as we are using it.

I have also noticed that the pricing on the report is not what Mitchell shows. I am going through each item in our inventory to check cost, list & sell based on what the vendor cost & list is. There were a few items that were on the report & then in the computer do not match. I know it is not items that were ordered lately. So i am not sure how they are showing different. This is concerning if you are trying to use this report to look at pricing.
