Ran into this today when my SA said we had no Ford LV transmission fluid. Funny how I just saw a whole pile of it on the shelf. She pulled up the part number by using our alternate part number 'LV' and sure enough, the display in the Inventory window showed zero. When you open the record, it displays the correct quantity and when you call up the part by the actual part number it also displays correctly. I was able to duplicate this with another part as well. Take a look......
In the Inventory window, I type in the known alternate part 'LV' and it correctly points to 'XT10QLVC'. The resulting display is.......
As you can see, the window shows zero on hand. When you open the record, you get this....
Now I have 19. Furthermore, when you search for the part by actual part number, you get this.....
Additionally, the Vendor does not display when searched by alternate part number.
We often check quantities on the fly without actually opening the record, so this should work. Now that we are aware, we'll be more careful.

I duplicated this here as well. Nice catch. I reported it to QA.
