Vehicle report

Post by Rich »

I have seen lately that we have customers with a ton of cars. One had 14 and I am sure they really have 3. Is there a way to print off a by-the-customer list of cars. I do not want to print a report for every customer. Just something I can do when "jane doe" walks in the door, i see that the system thinks she has more cars than I know she has, print a quick report, hand to customer ask if they will take a second to cross off the ones that have went to "car heaven". Then later I can get in and dump the ones i do not need in the system.

I looked, and searched. If you search "vehicle" it says some BS about to many things found. Who ever woulda thunk that Rich could search and find to much information!

In 5.9 we had a Customer Vehicle List report under the Client tab. Do you not have that report in SE?

We do have that. I was hoping for a quick report right in the customer screen. I will mess with this report and see. Gotta get the dates set i guess.

Funny side note:
Ran one and the first car averages 4 miles a day, the 4th one averages 17,413 a day!

I agree with Rich - I have been trying to pare down some of the vehicles under the customers too. We've had the system for over 10 years & there are quite a few customer that show lots of cars under their name, but I don't think they have been in for a long time.

Something that would be quick to print under the customer would be awesome. I have done the print screen option with the customer tab, but one of the computers doesn't want to play nice when I do that.

I tried the print screen, but I run double monitors. the print ends up being being about the size of an Avatar. :D So it won't work.

I run double monitors & it only shows the one - I had it on the primary screen. I'm really thinking I would like three monitors now 8)

We don't really have a vehicle report for "cleanup" as that is not seen as a regular repeat business function. (but it really is) The Client reports mentioned are one-customer-at-a-time selection and the Followup - New/Inactive section is based on customer invoices, not by vehicle. Short of some Export to Excel routine, it's hard to do.

We'll discuss and see if anything can be done about this.
