For planning purposes, I'd like to know how many users have taken advantage of the 86 training videos that are included on the shop management installation CD. There is an option to install them as part of the demo or live version install, however they can be added later at anytime.

When installed, they're available from the Training Videos link on the top menu of the shop mgmt software. When clicked, a master How Do I? list appears and users may select whatever concept they wish to learn more about. Average running time is two minutes or less.





TIP: With F1 Help, there may be an option to watch a related video. When you see a camera icon, there is a training video available.



Please vote according to the way you've used them at your shop; also post any comments you may have regarding these brief tutorials.

Used them extensivley on first set up. Stii use them when I have a brain fade

I haven't watched any in quite some time, but they were extremely helpful in the beginning, and even after we'd been using it a while, I watch some from time to time and learn something new.

I haven't watched them all like I probably need to, but I do quite often search the forum & Quick Answers for any questions I have.

This is a hard one to answer. Back when I beta'd SeriesII I know I installed them for testing purposes and I remember looking at them then. But I believe that was back in 1996. Since the switch to Shopkey Management they have not been installed.

I have found many of the training videos very helpful and would encourage more as time goes on.

By putting all of the Polls in one area, it breathes new life into older ones like this. I'm going to keep them open.

Training Videos and other tools will expand with on-line access, no more disc space issues ahead.

Learning Modules (25-30 min segments) today go much much further than the videos provided on installation disc.

Training Videos on disc are in the process of morphing into Quick Videos on the web (ready soon). The set can grow because it will no longer be tied to disc space and production deadlines. Combined with the forum and Quick Answers we'll have more that was ever possible before.

Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to check it out in more detail when I have more time than I have right now.
