Wow! Are you indicating that here we got an 08 vehicle that heeds a heater core already? I better get informed as I got an 08 coming in on Monday. Not for a heater issue but for other stuff.

Heater goes out in, at the most 4 years. Hmmmmmmm. Interesting.

No I have not done one either an not looking forward to it either. The last heater core I did reshaped my back.

I haven't done one yet either but have a few of those we work on for a couple customers. I'm curious to see what comes of this.

I like how the first picture has a big hammer and pry bar in it. That pretty much says it all.

At least it was clean. The few that i work on are construction or trade vehicles. I'd kill to have vehicles that clean to work on. Some of these i'm glad all my shots are current. Get that thought of the vet out of your mind Tina.

Right now there is one on my lot. Been there for about 6 months. The owner is using it as a storage shed. He's a good customer as well as my plumber. He owns a first generation sprinter and we've battled this on to a stand still. The power would drop out, key wouldn't read, and a long list of other issues. There is a reader in the steering column that has seen better days and on occasion the communication would just stop. We replaced the pcm and it started and ran fine. The next time we went to start it we go crank only. Sprayed wd into intake and still nothing. No communication, nothing. We installed the old pcm and it started and died. In frustration the tech flung the pcm across the driveway against a wall. I told him to install the original and return the new one. He showed me the old "modified one" and i said just put it in and we'll move it out of the way. It started and ran fine with the exception of it wouldn't shift into third.

We looked around a bit and found an area under the drivers seat that looks like it had been blessed with solder rosin. Well here it sits with rusted pieces falling to the ground on a regular basis. The pieces literally fall off like the leaves of the great Oak in the fall.  It's a shame that a good power train was wrapped in crap.
