We have a 2007 Jeep Compass Ltd has 215-55-r18 for tires.

We did inner and outer tie-rod ends and new front tires and had it aligned. Now when u turn all the way to the right the inside of the right tire rubs the frame. Same size tires and the streering wheel is stright. All looks good.

Hoping someone has ran in to this before.

Ive seen michelins the same size be bigger then other tires?

did it rub with the other tires on it?

gy wrangler sr-a p215/65r17 is oe tire and size 28x8.7
your size 27.3 x8.9 2 tenths wider= 1 tenth wider on each side. shouldn't make a biggie. but did they rub before?

The Limited model came stock with 18's.

It's probably the tire. They don't all use the same ruler when manufacturing.

I bet your right I had a lady with a saturn that rubbed after she got new tires but they were actually one size bigger then stock the tire place sold her wrong tires. I sent her back there.

Did an auto check on it and found out then it had hit a lightpole back in 2007. lol and says then there is frame damage.

Customer not very happy with the place he bought it from

so it was rubbing before neat...

in most states its against the law to sell a vehical with frame damage with out disclosing it. the issue will be were they aware of the damage. previous to the sell.

Dont know if it was before the tires were so far gone and that ain't really something i look for before doing work. Well, might be now. lol
