Ok need some direction. 4.2 V6. Cylinder 4 misfire. Code for EGR insuffecient flow. Test lead to plugged egr ports. What kinda time would ya'all charge? I got the time for the upper plenum not sure how much to add for cleaning ports. Or should I remove the complete lower intake and clean on the bench?
My first time on this kinda repair. Thanks. Jeff.

we remove. as a rule we find that the restrictions are well imbedded in the intake. check tsb's on this. i believe there is an updated intake for this engine. it's not a recall just a redesign and should be done. as far as a time charge goes i would take into consideration the time it takes to remove console and the maintenance of the van. when vehicles (with applications like this one) are over 5 years old i will certainly look hard at the flat rate time. i do charge if add on's effect me in any way even as small as "extra" wire balls dropping down into my way........
