Right now we have the "Written By" set to a default service writer. But we have 3 service writers that use their own computers. Is it already possible or could we add it to the enhancement list that the "Written By" can follow the current "User" that is selected, Then if the current User is a tech it just follows a default setting?

That's the way it currently works. While under the correct user (other than default), navigate to Setup>Shop Data>Default Settings. Enter the correct SW from the pull down Service Writer menu and click done. Now that SW follows that User wherever they go.
