Editing Customer Phone Numbers

Under the phone list, is there a way you can change the "phone location" heading to say something like "phone name" or "customer name", and then be able to add/edit who's number is associated with that number? Some customers have numerous contact numbers! Right now we're typing a customer's name in the extension# box....trouble is, there's limited characters available to do that.

Unfortunately there is no way to do that now. Our only option is to use the extension field. Tim might elaborate on anything that might be 'in the works' in this regard.
If you change a label, which you can, you change it for every record. NOT DESIRABLE!!

Exactly......hopefully it's in the works.

It may very well be. It's been a lament on this forum for a while now. And it IS on the Enhancement Request List....

+1 on a needed fix... we use the extensions too.. but when they have a long name-- it looks weird on the invoice.

Can't you just make the extension field allow more than 5 characters, seems like this would be a quick fix/work around.
